Pinocchio was bought by Turnabout Farm at an early age. Peter got him to ride when he still was in the US. Already at that time he new Pino would be "one of the best
horses I have ever ridden". When he decided to go to Europe, he had to leave him behind because the owner Sarah Willeman wanted to compete him. But Pino turned out to be a horse between genius
and insanity; an exceptional good jumper but extremely sensitive and very difficult to ride. And who could handle such a horse if not Peter. So the pair came together again.
Peter knew how to ride the stormy Pino and successes came soon. They were placed in many GP and World Cup competitions and among others won the World Cup preliminary
class in Leipzig 2005.
Unfortunately and very suddenly Pino died in spring 2005. He would have had a great carreer ahead of himself!
This is what Peter said about him: "I am very happy to have him back. I guess he is the hottest horse I ever had and one of the best ones, too. Whether he will become a championship horse, we still have to see."
